gelbes_gilatier: (is that... fanfic?)
Okay, so since I realized that the amount of fics I have in my LJ has increased surprisingly (and not just because of Fanfic100), I decided to do something I've seen in a few other journals: Give you a post where all of them can be found with title (plus link), summary and short additional info such as pairing or content warnings. Also, all of them are posted in correct reading order, not necessarily writing order and I decided to break them up by category, so here we go:

Stargate )

Star Wars )

Battlestar Galactica )

Leverage )

Warehouse 13 )

EUReKA )

The Lord of the Rings )

Firefly )

Harry Potter )

Disney )

Crossover )

PS.: Wholly unrelated to the stories but... if you friend me out of not quite obvious reasons for me (i.e. not being member of one of the communities I'm member of or being a friend of a friend or sharing interests with me), please have the decency to drop me a line why you friended me. Otherwise, I might feel compelled to think you're a bot and I really don't like bots, you know.

Important note regarding my posting policy:

As of now I actually have a new job and because I'm probably even more paranoid than Fox Mulder, I will post more or less all entries regarding personal issues as friendslocked. I might even decide to f-lock the journal in general and only post the fannish entries as public. Anyway, if any of you lurkers would like to read the personal life entries as well, please notify (either here in the comments or via private message) and friend me.

So, huh. I'm still not sure if signing up for [livejournal.com profile] het_bigbang with Clint/Natasha was a good idea but I keep having ideas for one-shots so I think it an't have been a completely harebrained idea, no? OK, actually, I'm currently writing a companion piece for Who Knows No Mercy (and Clint is killing me, probably because I am killing him with guilt. It's only fair then, I guess) and there's a vague press coverage bunny for Clint and Natasha that will be all [livejournal.com profile] workerbee73's fault if it ever gets written. Oh, and something about Maria Hill and Nick Fury and the thing with Coulson's Captain America cards because Fury being Fury didn't sit quite right with me (I do realize that he had to do that but I'd just love to write some Maria Hill fic and that seems like a good approach for it).

As for the big bang, I have to be honest. I just know that it's going to be post movie, that I want Steve Rogers to have a part (because something keeps telling me writing Hawkeye and the Widow from his perspective is going to give anything some kind of twist I don't want to miss) and that it's probably going to be mission fic. Other than that... I'm still working on it. It's also a good excuse for watching the movie again, on my own if I have to (I just remembered that I don't mind going to the cinema alone at all when I read [livejournal.com profile] inkvoices's last post so I'll probably just do that). Yes. Good plan.

And maybe all the Avengers stuff will help me to get back into my Stargate writing. Or I'll just try to have a complete rewatch of Stargate Atlantis. Actually, that sounds like a great idea. If I only had time head desks

But no one ever said it would be easy.

A/N: Damn, I'm sorry. Really, I am. I kind of hadn't planned for such a long absence of this fic from the journal. Work is kicking my ass and draining all my creative juices at the moment but I'm resolved to at least post all the stories still in the buffer. Maybe that'll help with the writing, too. Summary: Sometimes, Dr. Jennifer Keller doesn't mind a little tactical fire support.
A/N: So. I'm not... sure about this. I asked [livejournal.com profile] hanseatic_keks to look it over and she made a valuable point of some of Colbert's trademark dry wit lacking in the chapter even though there were a few points where I could have inserted it. I did look over the chapter and editted a few parts but... I'm not sure if it really worked. (the main thing is that Jennifer Keller is a female civilian and kind of a figure of authority (at least in a formal way), despite everything and honestly... that's what made this so difficult to figure everything out. I'd be very happy about any input whatsoever. Seriously. I mean it.)

Title: Drowning on Dry Land
Fandom: Generation Kill/Stargate
Rating: T (language warning, guys. No, seriously.)
Genres: gen
Summary: Laura Cadman wouldn't be the first Lieutenant Sergeant Brad Colbert is giving some gentle nudges into the right direction. If she'd just let him.
A/N: Eh. This was inspired both by [livejournal.com profile] hanseatic_keks who gave me a Generation Kill/Stargate prompt for this year's Holiday Fic Request Meme and thus made me finally read and watch Generation Kill and [livejournal.com profile] arwen_lune who took that prompt as an inspiration to start Rock Happy which is about the coolest thing I'm currently waiting for to be continued and her idea to use Laura Cadman and Brad Colbert in a fic. Originally, this one was rather supposed to be a one-shot but... my characters apparently love to betray me screw me over surprise me and there were a few other Atlantis characters who wanted to appear in a fic together with Brad Colbert (but then again... who doesn't?) so, uh, this kind of became a 'verse. Going by the name of Joint Fire Support Team *rolls eyes at self

Anyway, this is my first story involving Generation Kill and there are no words for how nervous I'm about it. I'm brand new to the fandom and for some reason, Generation Kill seems to be intimidating as a fandom (although I'm sure you're all great people!) and uh.. be gentle? Please?

Also, anyone finding messed up homophones, please jump on them, trample them down and then hand them to me. I will do with them what they deserve. They are my personal nemesis. (ask my part-time beta, [livejournal.com profile] mackenziesmomma)

So. Since the last one went a little... suboptimal (let's not talk of the still missing fics), I thought I'd start a little earlier this year. This will remain fixed here until November 30 (or until it's full) and until that you have a chance to post your prompts. This time around, let me say a couple things. Or just one. Anyway. Let's talk about crack. I don't do it. Or I do but I'm really not good at it. And I don't like to write it. Everything else is fair game. Uh. Until I say otherwise, yeah.

Also, to give you some inspiration, have a look at this:

Summary: Evan Lorne followed a call from Eliot Spencer. He's not sure if it was such a good idea, after all.
A/N: Holiday Fic Request Meme. I admit, not much Leverage in this (and probably the reason why I'll let myself be convinced to write at least another story for this, after all...) but Eliot does play his part and I needed a little closure, at least. We'll see about the rest. Deal?

A/N: Holiday Fic Request Meme. Yay, part two of the crossover! And no, no 'verse name for it. As you all know, if you name something, you can't kill it and you have to keep it. Summary: You're back in Colorado Springs. Just for a few days, you keep telling yourself.
A/N: Holiday Fic Request Meme. It's been ages since I wrote Warehouse 13 fic for the last time and this is only my second fic in the fandom. I couldn't fully answer [livejournal.com profile] rodlox's prompt (I'm sorry!) because I still haven't caught up with everything after Love Sick but something else happened during the writing of this story. I guess it was inevitable, given the fact that Myka is from Colorado Springs and my mind is hardwired to Stargate. Summary: spoilery for Not in Kansas Anymore )
A/N: Holiday Fic Request Meme. So... Another one that will probably make those not one of the selected few who finished reading Not in Kansas Anymore go "WTH?" which is why I won't post it anywhere else but here for now (and I most certainly will not post it at [livejournal.com profile] starwars_fanfic... what the fucking hell is going on over there and what is their issue with my stuff? An actual answer to that question would be really nice...). It's also not really a standalone because the story refused to be an actual one-shot. It's rather the promise of another multi-chapter in the NIKA 'verse that I'll start tackling once I get all that other stuff in the backlog done (so... in about two years or something). But I won't forget it. Seriously, I won't. And there's some conclusion here! Anyway, it's spoilery for NIKA Everyone who doesn't like spoilers and is following Not in Kansas Anymore here in LJ: don't read it. Everyone else: enjoy. And look again at [livejournal.com profile] yappichick's awesome fanart, while you're at it :D

Fandom: Army Wives/Stargate

Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] sgteam14283
Prompt: Army Wives/Stargate, Evan Lorne and Chase Moran, Special Ops training
Summary: Chase Moran gets an offer he might not be able to refuse. Post S5 Army Wives finale.
A/N: Holiday Fic Request Meme. First crossover prompt and an interesting combination. I wrote Stargate/Army Wives before (it's part of a bigger series, though, but if anyone wants to read it, I can point you to the entry on fanfiction.net :)) but this was interesting, too because of the perspective. I never wrote from the POV of any AW character before, so it's still kind of my virgin fic in this fandom. So, err, be gentle? ;)

PS.: For how long has Chase been a Delta operator? I distinctly remember him telling Pam in the pilot that "they made it into Delta" but apparently, I'm the only one remembering that. Any input? Resolved!

PPS.: Oh, BTW, this? The first part of three. And no idea how many more after the meme *coughs I don't have a 'verse name yet, though. Any suggestions are welcome.

Summary: Bad news for Carson Beckett.
A/N: Holiday Fic Request Meme. This is not death!fic but it's not a happy fic, either. I guess it's kind of a pretty early Protect and Survive piece but it can stand alone. I know it's Christmas but [livejournal.com profile] ancient_leah gave me this (so I could work out all my "Rocks fall, everyone dies" tendencies in a less tragic but still unhappy way, before tackling a number of other prompts) and since I needed it, I took the prompt. Oh, whoa. Too many to choose from, actually. I'd love to spend a day with Jo March, preferably on a New England winter day, with snowball fights and an evening of reading from books and telling stories in the March home. Or blowing shit up for a day with Laura Cadman. Or a day at Camp Half Blood with the bunch from the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. Or seeing the way the world was altered after the end of John Birmingham's Axis of Time trilogy, preferably in the company of Karen Halabi (since he killed off Jürgen Müller :P Oh, spoilers... oops).

I'm not sure if I'd like to meet Eowyn, seeing as how she and I bitched at each other during the last days when I tried to write [livejournal.com profile] sgteam14283's first prompt for the Holiday Fic Request Meme. But, ooooooh, I'd love to meet Sam Carter and Helen Magnus! I'd ask Sam how to become a soldier like her and how the hell she is so awesome and I'd never stop asking Helen about the centuries she lived in. She'd probably have to talk about WWI and WWII for at least a year or something and she'd be the best ressource ever for that WWII original story I still have on my hard drive (or my dad's NAS, since my laptop is still out of commission...). Oh yes, definitely Helen Magnus, over tea and biscuits (not cookies) by a blazing fire in the fire place in her library ♥
