Just another meme ;)

Mehehe, snagged from [livejournal.com profile] myfloralbonnet

Comment with the name of a female character and I'll tell you why I love her.

Also... anyone want to help me punch Jack Carter of Eureka in the face? Anyone? Come on, you know you want to, after that last ep...

So I'll be the odd one (and since you already mentioned her and we've talked about her before).

Sarah Mackenzie ;)

Non-Stargate :D

Okay, like I said, she was one of the first female characters on TV that were role-models for me. She was always straight forward and she was never afraid to tell Harm (or any of the other male characters for that matter) off when she thought he was wrong. She also didn't freeze in awe because of Harm's Mad Lawyer Skillz and was always a match for him (professionally wise, i mean). I loved it that she was both a kick-ass lawyer and a kick-ass soldier and had, despite everything, insecurities and flaws she tried to battle (although sometimes I had a feeling that was overshadowed by Harm's superior Man Pain :P). Sarah MacKenzie got me hooked on the Marines :D

Totally, I mean what with her curse of men who dated her dying, and her alcoholism and her having grown up for years with her Uncle Matt because her parents couldn't raise her...she definitely had demons and flaws.

Its funny though because while I loved Mac, she wasn't my favorite JAG female character. (I give you 2 bazillion useless imaginary points if you can figure out which one was my favorite ;))

Mehehehe, Harriet! Did I ever tell you how much I loved the scene where she told her mother off, shortly before getting married? When her mother was all like "We Beaumont women..." and she fired back that she was an Ensign of the United States Navy? Oooh, that was a great moment!

I don't think you'd mentioned that but it is one of my favorite scenes with her as well.

Though I also love the one in "Washington Ball" where she ends up coming with someone else and Bud with some...bimbo (because he screwed up and yeah) and yet by the end of the night they end up together?

THAT? is how you do a canon pairing.
