Some idiots find it funny to sabotage train tracks here too sometimes.

I just don't get the motivation behind this. Apparently, it was meant as a political statement against the Deutsche Bahn (who owns the S-Bahn, but not the U-Bahn... yes, this is confusing, I know ;)) who allows their tracks to be used by Castor transports of atomic waste.

But... I don't get it. What do they want to achieve with that? That ordinary people hate anti-atom activists? Well, I'm pretty sure they are a step closer to that now (additionally to half the city being without S-Bahn coverage, half the town was and partially is without internet coverage because the cable fire also caught cables of a wireless/internet carrier... idiots).

Which one is the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn already?

The U-Bahn is the one below ground (occasionally, though, above ground, too... ye-es, it's confusing as hell, I know) and is owned by the city, the S-Bahn is the one above ground and owned by the Deutsche Bahn (the main railway company in Germany, kinda like SNCF in France). I even have pictures :D
