Aw, thank you! It was frighteningly easy to write and I felt so bad for Carson all throughout the story but I always felt even though they made a cute couple in Duet and Critical Mass that they weren't forever. And that it wouldn't be Carson ending it.

I like it, too, because I think that's kind of the essence of what made them so different from each other and what ultimately was one of the strongest reasons they would never work in the long run. Laura shoots people for a living and Carson heals them. That's never a good combination IMHO :S
