True. But by the time Protect and Survive starts, Carson is back and it's very clear (to everyone but Evan and Laura *head desks) that whatever was between Carson and Laura, there's nothing more than friendship at that point. They're all adults (even though sometimes it feels different, shut up all three of you!), so they should be able to realize that some things weren't meant to be... and some were ;)

But yes, this story sparked off again the idea to have another conversation between Laura and Carson, about... two or three years (I think it's two or three years... if there'd been a Season 6, it would take place sometime mid-season 6) later, at the eve of her wedding (second one... don't ask, it's all mackenziesmomma's fault) because I always felt that despite everything, there should be some... closure for them. It's a fredlet, obviously. It will be written when I'm done with this meme. I promise.
