How did you like the Thrawn trilogy? I figure that for someone who's just discovering the world of Star Wars novels it must be difficult for someone who read them more or less in the order they were published.

I think it was the best place to start, actually. I knew most of the characters because the trilogy is set just a few years after the movies. I'm going to read in order from then on, and then go back to the very beginning and read up to the movies.

ETA: And I really liked the trilogy. I thought Thrawn was a little too strongly written, honestly. The fact that he was ALWAYS anticipating them got a bit annoying. And I don't want Mara to end up with Luke even though I know she does. But I always ship the hopeless ships anyway.
