So. Since the last one went a little... suboptimal (let's not talk of the still missing fics), I thought I'd start a little earlier this year. This will remain fixed here until November 30 (or until it's full) and until that you have a chance to post your prompts. This time around, let me say a couple things. Or just one. Anyway. Let's talk about crack. I don't do it. Or I do but I'm really not good at it. And I don't like to write it. Everything else is fair game. Uh. Until I say otherwise, yeah.

(It was established they knew each other prior to Fort Marshall, I'm curious what it was that drew what seems like two very opinionated women together aside from the whole ARMY wife thing)

Ok, I wish for an AU of SGA... where Atlantis is a huge City.

Lorne is a Detective(police), Sheppard might be his Lieutenant or Captain & Weir is the Mayor of the city.

Big plus would be, if Grodin is still alife & makes a tiny cameo as a police officer or a forensic scientist. :)

Hmm, this is actually harder than I thought it would be, just because I figure that by then I will have written the ideas myself.. But still, would be fun to see your take on these:

Carter and Cadman bonding: both being kickass women of science, I think they'd get on well, and should get to know each other while they are being kickass military women (perhaps somehow they've ended up being the ones who need to rescue a team? A team including Sheppard and Lorne? It would be fun seeing their reactions as part of the story)

I'd also love to see:
Prank war, with lots of subterfuge but things stay silly and fun (not cracky, just that things don't get out of hand). Lorne/Cadman as team versus... ? Or maybe Team Lorne (incl Cadman) vs Team Moore? It would be fun seeing people really get into it, especially the types you normally wouldn't expect to go for silliness. I'd love it if Sheppard either got directly involved or kind of played from the sidelines, kind of indulgent 'I can't be seen to join in but..'

Well, think about it... there's a setting that needs to be developed, characters and character relations re-examined, also AUs like that always have a potential for lots and lots of stories. Dec 2: Carter and Cadman bonding/saving themselves and then everybody else
This might make more sense if you've seen my versions of them in Saw This And Thought Of You. I kind of picture Carter taking on an interest in Cadman and her career, and maybe mentoring her a little in how to balance research with her military career. Plus they are both cool and kick-ass and frequently end up downplayed because everybody else around them is also cool and kickass, so I would like some space for them to shine and bond :-)
As for a quote.. mm.. not short. sorry. feel free to keep the 'oh my god these two women are awesome' awe and ditch the rest.

"Where's the music?" Sheppard muttered, and Lorne turned his head. The colonel definitely had a concussion, but he'd seemed lucid so far.

"Sir?"

Sheppard didn't move his eyes from where Colonel Carter and Lieutenant Cadman were striding toward their position. They looked a little smudged, but healthy and confident that they had the situation under control.

"This is a mega-blockbuster sort of moment," Sheppard clarified with a vague hand gesture. "There should be theme music. And more explosions."

"Well, that IS Cadman," Lorne agreed after a moment of contemplation. It was definitely a movie-worthy moment. There was even a breeze lifting the hair that had come loose from the Colonel's ponytail. All it needed was something big blowing up in the background. "There is still time."


Dec 21: Prank war
Some happy bonding time for Solstice :) I don't really have a mental picture for this, just an idea of elaborate and silly plotting, sneakiness of a fun and subtle kind, and helpless laughter. I would like the sergeants involved, because pretty much all your sergeant characters rock.

Actually, that's what jo_graham, amygriswold and mescott are doing in their Legacy novel series. I hope you wouldn't mind if it ended up being a tag to a Legacy book?
