Okay, so since I realized that the amount of fics I have in my LJ has increased surprisingly (and not just because of Fanfic100), I decided to do something I've seen in a few other journals: Give you a post where all of them can be found with title (plus link), summary and short additional info such as pairing or content warnings. So. Since the last one went a little... suboptimal (let's not talk of the still missing fics), I thought I'd start a little earlier this year. This will remain fixed here until November 30 (or until it's full) and until that you have a chance to post your prompts. This time around, let me say a couple things. Or just one. Anyway. Let's talk about crack. I don't do it. Or I do but I'm really not good at it. And I don't like to write it. Everything else is fair game. Uh. Until I say otherwise, yeah.

Because you know what that means? It means I have to use copy/paste about a hundred times to purge the text from the tags I don't want and then I have to go through the entire text to purge it from all the paragraph crap. A/N: Holiday Fic Request Meme. Meh. This story? The reason why I usually don't write crack!fic. It's not that I think it's bad, it's just that usually, that kind of fic would be multi-chapter. But I didn't have multi-chapter so I tried mission fic in a one-shot. I'm really not sure if that concept worked for me *sighs Also... mackenziesmomma said I get bonus points if I can get every character mentioned in the prompt. That might explain a few things. BTW, again Protect and Survive, so not posted elsewhere, either. They probably just wouldn't understands *coughs

That is to say, mackenziesmomma and I didn't. Instead I was at the airport three hours too early because I mixed up mac's departure and arrival times (don't ask...) but at least I could start translating the newest Minor Characters chapter. It then took us at least an hour to actually get to our rental car (apparently, today, everyone who arrived wanted to rent a car at Hertz) and another half hour to get to our hotel, the Rosewood Sand Hill. I was a little...erm... crept out by OMG HOW FRIENDLY everyone was but I guess it's a German thing (we don't take well to someone being friendly to us... no, seriously, we think it's impolite if a sales attentant for example asks as how we are when we enter a store. The best way to treat us is to completely ignore us until we get to the cash out, purely for research purposes of course (I will get into that later). And it's... err... amazing.

We also went to Stanford - mostly in search of food but we also would have taken a couple of undergrads or probably grad students in my case - but they didn't like us there (mac says there were rude hand gestures involved which unfortunately I didn't see, seeing I still didn't have sunglasses at that time). In the end, we found food at the local shopping mall. Also, I found sunglasses there. Yes, seriously, I did. I will now be able to walk through San Francisco without constantly having to shield my eyes and look weird. Yay! I did not, however, get either tea or a coffee mug that said "Fear the Tree!" (not joking here) because mac kept me from spending money on those items. Thank you, mac.

The evening ended at the Rosewood's restaurant, the Madera were we spent *mumbles unintelligibly on a really good dinner. No room for desert, though. But enough time for a dip in the pool and the hot tub by the pool. Can I please just stay here for the rest of the trip? Yes?

Oh, wait, I nearly forgot. Research purposes. We actually stumbled over this when we did research for a wedding in the Protect and Survive 'verse that was supposed to be really fancy and ended up with the Rosewood. Mac was so nice as to give me a night here for my birthday then and this is how we ended up here in person and now we're, you know, having a closer look at it for that wedding. And lo and behold, the bunnies are multiplying by the minute. Can anyone say "shower smut" and "How is it that someone who's able to fly a million dollar plane can't open a simple bottle of champagne?"?

I really tried to talk myself out of this one because of the topic of the question but mackenziesmomma wouldn't let me chicken out so I figured I should just get it over with write it and be done with it. Also, until now I tried to find a fitting song for the aformentioned story tag for ancient_leah but I feel so alone without my laptop and my music and most of all my playlists (oh God, the playlists! They were so many I actually had to scroll, even in half screen size oh God) and last.fm isn't really helpful, either so I can just as well write another "30 Days" entry until I get a new laptop (hopefully in the next two weeks because seriously, I don't think I can make the big bang otherwise). So here we go.

Since I vaguely annonced in one of my latest story posts that I would do another "30 Days" post in the next couple of weeks and I have a spare day today and mackenziesmomma poked tentatively asked me to write one, I'm hereby doing exactly that (even though I'd rather like to write a post on how stupid the statement "There are only very few "legal" ways to stalk a person" is, seeing as rareb and I once found out real name, real address, real trained for job and real current job of a girl from that forum with only her forum nick and forum profile in a little unter 30 minutes... but I guess there will be time for that later). Yes. But first of all, all answered questions:

1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you’ve worked with and why.
2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you’re writing about fictional places)?
4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!
5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about “youngest” and “oldest” in terms of when you created them?
