Fire in the Hole

Because instead of looking for job ads, I decided to do a movie review... well, two actually. Since schnelmi is here on vacation I went to the cinema twice in one week. I really only go to the cinema very rarely because usually mom doesn't want to watch in English and I can bring myself only very rarely to watching them in German because for seven years I lived in a city where the only cinema you could watch movies in English was a tiny independent cinema... and when I go to the movies I want the big screen, not a screen that could fit into my living room... and I also have a totally unintellectual taste when it comes to movies I watch at the cinema (seriously, what do I need the big screen for psychological dramas or some independent movie everyone claims to find groundbreaking and no one really understands but would never admit to it?). When I go to the cinema, I want explosions, battle scenes, good looking half-naked men fighting... all the good stuff, you know?

Anyway, what I wanted to say: for seven years I lived in a city where I had to watch all the movies in German if I wanted to see them on the big screen... so now that I moved back to Berlin where we have the wonderful, wonderful Cinestar Original multiplex at Potsdamer Platz I just feel like it would be a waste of time and money not to use that and still go to see movies in German... but mom usually disagrees. However, schnelmi and I actually managed to trick her twice into accompanying us to a movie in English (apparently, letting her watch the first two Merlin seasons in English helped a lot in that) and here's what we watched:

Oh, on a health related note: The cold is almost gone (although it'll probably start all over again in a while because now mom's got an even worse version of it and can't get it into her head not to hug and kiss us or drink from shared bottles and all that...) and I finally have an actual diagnosis for the knee. Apparently, I didn't scrape or rupture any ligaments (yay for that!) but rather just overstretched the inner ligaments and capsules. It'll just take a while for the knee to get normal again but I won't need any surgery or physical therapy, just a brace and no sports for a while. YAY!

Okay, eigentlich sollte ich abwaschen, aber da die Innenstadt vermutlich sowieso zu ist wegen dieser spaßigen Demo komme ich vermutlich eh nicht rechtzeitig zum 12.43 Uhr Zug, also kann ich auch noch schnell posten:

Also, was wollte ich sagen? Ach ja. Tom Cruise nervt. Ich dachte ja wirklich, die würden "Valkyrie" nie fertig stellen, aber leider ist es doch dazu gekommen (wer hat das zugelassen? Wer will uns da alle strafen?). Und alleine der Trailer verursacht mir schon Gänsehaut... and not the good kind of. Stauffenberg war ja ein bisschen ein Held meiner Jugend (später dann eher von Tresckow, von Moltke und andere, die schon viel länger in den Plan verwickelt waren) und es tut doch etwas weh zu sehen, dass ausgerechnet Totalitäre-Sekte-Cruise den spielt.

Is ja schön, dass sich Hollywood endlich auch für die Deutschen mit einem Gewissen interessiert (lustig aber, dass da wieder keine Deutschen von Deutschen gespielt werden... offensichtlich dürfen wir immer nur die Nazis spielen), aber... musste es Tom Cruise sein? Eigentlich wollte ich mir "Valkyrie" als Kennerin der ganzen Geschichte (beim Aufnahmegespräch für die Bundeswehr damals hab ich mir damit drei gute Empfehlungen für Geschichtswissenschaft, Politikwissenschaft und Pädagogik erquatscht) gar nicht ansehen, aber Kenneth Brannagh als von Tresckow... macht mich doch etwas neugierig (außerdem will ich sehen, inwiefern die die Geschichte verdreht haben). Vielleicht seh ich's mir ja als Sicherheitskopie an. Aber Geld werde ich sicher nicht dafür ausgeben.

Ansonsten: Wie genau wurde ich zur Königin des politischen Blogs im Jugendverband und im Stadtverband? Überall, wo ich erwähne, dass man im Wahlkampf auch noch mehr mit dem Internet als nur ein paar Fotos auf die Website zu stellen machen kann, werde ich am Ende dazu verdonnert, zu bloggen. Wie konnte es zu dieser herrlichen Katastrophe kommen? Und wie soll ich dann bitte noch Straßenwahlkampf machen? Aber okay, wenn mir jemand den UMTS-Stick bezahlt, mache ich auch beides zusammen...

Im Übrigen glaube ich, dass wir im Jugendverband wohl mal Bücher zum Thema "Web 2.0" verteilen sollten... ich meine, es gibt Leute, die jünger als ich sind und nicht wissen, was RSS-Feeds sind, dass Webspace bei youTube frei ist und im Großen und Ganzen geradeso dazu fähig sind, den Computer an und aus zu machen. Das ist ein bisschen traurig, ehrlich gesagt. Und ausgerechnet diese Menschen müssen das Wort youTube in jeden zweiten Satz einfügen und mir erzählen, wir müssten Wahlkampf wie Barrack Obama machen. Dass ich mir dabei ein bisschen verarscht vorkomme, ist klar, oder? Na ja, ich bleibe einfach in meiner kleinen Blog-Ecke (vielen Dank an unseren Experten übrigens noch mal, ich bin immer noch absolut begeistert von dem, was er uns gebaut hat... und dass er auf so gut wie jeden Sonderwunsch eingegangen ist bisher :D) und überlege mir weiterhin einen Weg, an einen UMTS-Stick aus dem Wahlkampffond heranzukommen...

Moah. Hab eben Mission: Impossible III gesehen. Und boah, Scheiß-film, ey. Ethan Hunt glücklich verheiratet? WTF??? Das is wie James Bond glücklich verheiratet: Un-denk-bar. Wider die Natur. Falsch. UND ES PASSIERT TROTZDEM! BAH! Wer hat sich denn diesen Scheiß ausgedacht? Welcher Versager hat das zu verantworten? OAH!

Aber die geht im nächsten Film bestimmt eh drauf, dann is wieder alles gut. Und Jonathan Rhys Meyers war toll. Können wir den nächsten MI-Film bitte nur mit dem haben? Ja?
