Because, you know, watching natochannel.tv says pretty much what the German government still tries to deny (even though recent events such as the combat operations in Kunduz this week tell a story quite differently): That German soldiers in Afghanistan are fighting in a war. It's also pretty embarrassing that our own combat camera teams obviously either aren't allowed to do such features or simply don't want to. Or that the BMVg (German DoD/MOD) simply refuses to talk to military bloggers such as BendlerBlogger. Obviously, social media are something the Bundeswehr conviniently wants to ignore. And here Mr. Robbe wonders about why the people only have "friendly disinterest" for the Bundeswehr left, and that only in the best of cases. Embarrassing, embarrassing, embarrassing.

Edit: Major news magazine SPIEGEL Online (international edition) on Kunduz: German Armed Forces Intensify Fighting Against Taliban... who else thinks the BMVg's official behavior is starting to get ridiculous?

Anyway, here's the first part of a feature about a German patrol in Kunduz (and yes, I also want to seriously harm their English teacher for neglecting to teach them at least the basics of that language...):
