Press coverage on the attacks from earlier this week.

Earlier this week, a major offensive against Taleban forces in the North of Afghanistan had been launched by ISAF forces which also involved German soldiers, mortars and Marder armored infantry vehicles. What made it noticeable was that it was the first time Germans were using heavy weaponry and also that the press coverage was pretty much all-emcompassing on it (as opposed to all the last years were the press focused on the Bundeswehr building wells and schools and the QRF soldiers were operating practically in secret), even if they took their time to respond to the news.
