Been a while since the last one, but have some pictures of my last adventures into baking land :) This time, the first three recipes were taken from Cynthia Barcomi's baking epiphany Backen. I Love Baking. and the last one was taken from Cupcakes: 55 unwiderstehliche Törtchen. And BTW, Mrs. Barcomi's café and deli in Berlin? Total paradise, both of them. I love my city! \o/
First one: snickerdoodles! OMG, I love snickerdoodles! I love baking them and I love eating them and I think I totally need to bake another batch on the weekend. Oh yes. (also, if anyone of you living in countries with metric measurements wants to know a working metric recipe, just holler, and I'll type it for you from the book :))

Next one: my first ever pie. A varition of one of the pies in Mrs. Barcomi's book, I used pears and raspberries as filling but the rest of the recipe is the same. And it was great!

And the last Barcomi recipe: ginger & lemon muffins. The greates thing about them is the homemade lemon sirup you put on them after baking. It's... awesome. Fruity and a little spicy... I love those muffins.

And last but not least: cupcakes \o/ (chocolate-orange cupcakes with blueberry mascarpone topping). This time, the topping worked way better than with the raspberry cupcakes and it also looked better and whoa, two cupcakes were enough food for a day or so. But they honestly were delicious (although the original recipes said blackberries instead of blueberries but try to find fresh blackberries in September in Berlin... nope, doesn't work).

Damn, I need an excuse for another go at the cupcakes.... and I want Martha Stewart's Cupcakes (the book, I mean) for Christmas. Or maybe Cupcakes From the Primrose Bakery? Too many great cupcake books *sighs
