Oh God, I love you so much right now. I mean, I always love you and your stories and you've written so many beautiful things already for this meme, but this... but this... <3
This would have been awesome and wonderful and beautiful and sad and optimistic one way or the other, because it was precisely what was missing in the show (no matter how much I love the 3rd season) and you had me in tears even before the story had really started (oh, Myka!)... but then... there's Sam! And Cam! And Sam and Cam and Mr Bering and Myka! And Sam and Myka! And... I'm sorry, I'm so terribly, terribly shallow, but........ SAM! *hearts*
And of course she would go and recruit Myka the moment she meets her. *lol*
(And I really don't know if it was intentional, but... boy do I ship Sam and Cam in this story. I mean... you know me... I always do, but... hello! Shopping books together? *giggles* (Oh dear...))
But... anyway... my inner shipper aside... I love this. I love how this is just about Myka and how you let us see her side of the story. How you acompany her home and make sure that, despite everything, she's okay. Or will be okay, even if she is not yet. Because there'll always be family and with family there's safety and hope. This was wonderful, really.
Favourite quote: You never loved your father as much as you do right now. Not even when you were twelve and he told you getting a B in literature doesn’t make you the biggest screw-up ever. Because it's just so wonderful!
(Oh, and I will not say that I'd love this to be the first story of many, because... err... well... Oh, whom am I kidding, really! Of course I would love that! But I won't want to motivate your bunnies too much ;))
