The funny thing is: slashers, who clearly are a majority in most fandoms, keep complaining about those "privileged" (don't get me started on that crappy approach to discussion...) het writers and how poor and oppressed slash writers and readers are. And it's all a fucking load of bullshit (again, in most fandoms).
But honestly, every single time I request something at sgagenrefinders and even (politely) tell them that I do not want slash and most of all no McShep, there's at least one reccer (and usually more) who seems to be totally oblivious to the fact that my request was perfectly clear and understandable and will rec slash (usually McShep), anyway.
