Today: Lurkers Amnesty Day!

For a while I've been obsessively repeatedly occasionally tracking my stats and was surprised to encounter a pretty great amount of people surfing by here on a regular scale but never commenting. Also occassionally LJ tells me I have readers who read via RSS feed (so I assume they must come from outside of LJ since if they were on LJ they wouldn't have to use RSS feed to read my journal) and I'm dying to know who they are.

So... come on, people, delurk (and yes, dad, that includes you as well, if you are among my lurkers). Comment here and tell me how you got here (because some of you don't have any friends or comms in common with me at all), what interested you, why you come back (because some of you do ;))... I won't judge you or mock you or be a bitch to you... I'm really just curious. And to encourage people who are not on LJ to delurk as well, I temporarily changed my comments setting. From today, everyone will be allowed to comment (although I have CAPTCHA for anonymous comments and will screen them... what? I have a reason to be paranoid about anonymous commenters) for a week. Isn't that really an offer you can't refuse?

Thanks for being interested enough :) And I really like it when I become interested in a user because of one fandom and find out that we actually share more than just that one fandom.
