Dear assholes who thought it was a good idea to set fire on S-Bahn cables,
Run very fast, very far away. Because if they find out that someone really did set fire to those cables, you will have not only the police but also practically all of Berlin on your heels, including me. Isn't it enough that the S-Bahn is still on emergency schedule and will very likely have massive problems next winter again (just like the last two winters...)? Obviously, not for you because you very obviously thought it was a good idea to set some cables on fire which resulted in the entire east half of Berlin being without S-Bahn coverage. You assholes.
I seriously don't get why people would do something like that. Last time it were some self-proclaimed extreme left activists and seriously? That was a bullshit idea. People depending on the S-Bahn are not evil capitalists who need to be punished, they are your average run of the mill employees who need to get to work in time or they will be fired. So if your idea was to punish the evil capitalists with setting cables on fire, you did not meet your objective, you idiots.
If someone really was stupid enough to intentionally put half of Berlin's S-Bahn out of service, do hope the police doesn't find out it was you. Or rather... hope the police finds you... before S-Bahn customers do. God, how stupid can some people be?
ETA: Obviously, it really was arson. You stupid, egoist, criminal assholes. I don't care if you think you want to send some left-wing political message because the only message you actually are sending is that you care nothing about people. Stupid, stupid, stupid idiot assholes. Go fuck yourself. And run very fast and very far away.

Date: 2011-05-23 08:23 pm (UTC)I just don't get the motivation behind this. Apparently, it was meant as a political statement against the Deutsche Bahn (who owns the S-Bahn, but not the U-Bahn... yes, this is confusing, I know ;)) who allows their tracks to be used by Castor transports of atomic waste.
But... I don't get it. What do they want to achieve with that? That ordinary people hate anti-atom activists? Well, I'm pretty sure they are a step closer to that now (additionally to half the city being without S-Bahn coverage, half the town was and partially is without internet coverage because the cable fire also caught cables of a wireless/internet carrier... idiots).
Which one is the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn already?
The U-Bahn is the one below ground (occasionally, though, above ground, too... ye-es, it's confusing as hell, I know) and is owned by the city, the S-Bahn is the one above ground and owned by the Deutsche Bahn (the main railway company in Germany, kinda like SNCF in France). I even have pictures :D

Date: 2011-05-23 09:44 pm (UTC)I wish I had room for a facepalm icon very badly about right now.
I do think that they are approaching their goal right now.
Sabotage is definitely not the solution. That and they will be hated even more with the internet issue.
Oh yeah U-Bahn is the subway/metro/RATP. Used to take the dark green line during my short time in Berlin.
BTW, love your "What I don't even" tag. I should invest in a similar one.

Date: 2011-05-23 11:40 pm (UTC)Yeah, or as my mum said today: "We don't need Al Qaida here in Germany. We're doing a pretty good job of it ourselves."
That and they will be hated even more with the internet issue.
Yes,
Used to take the dark green line during my short time in Berlin.
You should come back and try the other ones, too :D

Sadly, I feel like I use it far too often... I just should stop getting to pissed off so often :D
