This. What. I don't even. WHAT.

Okay. I think the LJ people really lost it now. Apparently, according to this article, us longtime users are worth shit to LJ. They don't care about us, the people who've been paying their goddamn salaries with our fucking money for years and years because... I don't even know why. Why are we of no interest to you, LJ people? Whatever did we do? Whose asinine idea was it to actually say that out loud and then fucking share that article proudly to all your now seriously pissed off longterm users? I can't believe anyone would be so dumb as to do any of that, and here you are doing all of it.
So, how about we all tell
theljstaff what we think about their big coup here? Let's give them a reminder that we are actually capable of reading and understanding when someone is trying to bullshit us (or, as in LJ's case, being a goddamn idiot openly). They said they like freedom of speech. Let's give 'em a piece of that.
And now I'll go back to channel my ever growing aggressiveness towards LJ into writing Brad Colbert and Laura Cadman. Thank God for Generation Kill and SGA.

Date: 2012-01-21 03:51 am (UTC)This is why I like Dreamwidth. I know I will always have a chunk of people here, but with crossposting and the ability to import my LJ, DW seems like sunshine and happiness compared to this rudeness.

Date: 2012-01-21 02:44 pm (UTC)That's what I keep thinking. I'm unable to compute how this could have happened. How anyone could be so stupid as to think that way and then say it to some journalists and then even proudly linking it to the people they just mortally offended.
And I don't want to move. I want to stay here. I've been blogging here for six years and I used to like it here. I just hope they'll see what a mistake this was but I fear my hope is in vain.
(but then again, the people at Delicious listened at least enough that they made it useable again. And SOPA/PIPA were shelved after the shitstorm. So I really think people need to speak up against this.)

Date: 2012-01-21 03:05 pm (UTC)Actually, editting comments is now open to everyone (one of the things that pissed off so many paid account users. Me, not so much, because I start paying for other stuff but it is a valid point to be pissed off over).
As for the rest... I fail to understand the reasoning behind this. But maybe there wasn't any. Maybe they told the magazine that as an aside or something and didn't know it would go in the article but... that still means a bucket of FAIL. I want a response for this. If I have to, I'll just spam every LJ staff memeber I can find but I want someone answering this.
RE: your question: You're right, there aren't many "unstressed" shots of Cadman in Critical Mass. But a couple are actually there, mostly at end.
Here (http://gallery.demon-cry.net/2011/08/stargate-atlantis-complete-season-two-bluray-screencaps/)'s a download of BluRay screencaps from S2, so there should be some nice caps for both Duet and Critical Mass be in there.Ahaha, the links go to Megaupload *head desks I'll go and see if someone asked the capper to post them somewhere else...Also, Jaime Ray Newman played an Army Captain in an episode on Crossing Jordan. I think I found caps of that but of course I never bookmarked them...
(why yes, I AM making a character sheet for Rock Happy instead of writing it..)
As somehow who accumulated an impossible large cast of the last few years, I can fully understand :D

Date: 2012-01-21 03:36 pm (UTC)I recently did a spread sheet with birthdays and education and occupations and stuff :D However, no pictures. I do have pictures of SG10 (like this banner (http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j316/Gelbes_Gilatier/Banner/SG10_bannercopy.jpg) and two wallpapers that have Tom (http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j316/Gelbes_Gilatier/Wallpaper/Brothers_in_Arms-Wall.jpg) and Maureen (http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j316/Gelbes_Gilatier/Wallpaper/IamwhatIam1a.jpg)) but you're right, I actually need a lot more. Mh... (I'm also accepting suggestions, you know ;))
JRN did a guest role as Marine Lieutenant in NCIS.
Actually, it was Navy ;) *nitpick
I really just wanted a good headshot where she's not all modelly made up and lit.
That's gonna be hard to find :(
(BTW, the person who posted the BluRay caps says she's migrating them to Mediafire here (http://lawpup.livejournal.com/69050.html)... I'll just patiently wait for the SGA caps to appear ;))

JRN did a guest role as Marine Lieutenant in NCIS. Sadly she's in dress uniform, I really just wanted a good headshot where she's not all modelly made up and lit.
