A/N: Holiday Fic Request Meme. So. I wrote a couple Lee/Kara stories for BSG, never Helo/Sharon. But now that I look back, my interest shifted almost silently from Lee/Kara as my main ship to Helo/Sharon. I always liked them (more than Sharon/Chief, to be honest) but somehow they took a while to shift into focus fully. So I was delighted when sgteam14283 prompted them but, as with all my virgin fics in this meme, really nervous about finding the right tone for them and the right story. I hope I did at least marginally well in here :S

PS.: Oh God, the song I chose for this makes me feel so old. I know what she's singing about. I was ten years old when war in Bosnia broke out. I have customers calling today who were born in 1992 :S

I wrote Stargate/Army Wives before (it's part of a bigger series, though, but if anyone wants to read it, I can point you to the entry on fanfiction.net :)) but this was interesting, too because of the perspective. I never wrote from the POV of any AW character before, so it's still kind of my virgin fic in this fandom. So, err, be gentle? ;)

PS.: For how long has Chase been a Delta operator? I distinctly remember him telling Pam in the pilot that "they made it into Delta" but apparently, I'm the only one remembering that. Any input? Resolved!

As for the rest, the next goal is to finish the next six pieces missing to complete the second week until Dec 14 (hanseatic_keks can call herself lucky because her prompt from that week is the only story already finished). Oh, whoa. Too many to choose from, actually. I'd love to spend a day with Jo March, preferably on a New England winter day, with snowball fights and an evening of reading from books and telling stories in the March home. Or blowing shit up for a day with Laura Cadman. Or a day at Camp Half Blood with the bunch from the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. Or seeing the way the world was altered after the end of John Birmingham's Axis of Time trilogy, preferably in the company of Karen Halabi (since he killed off Jürgen Müller :P Oh, spoilers... oops).

I'm not sure if I'd like to meet Eowyn, seeing as how she and I bitched at each other during the last days when I tried to write sgteam14283's first prompt for the Holiday Fic Request Meme. But, ooooooh, I'd love to meet Sam Carter and Helen Magnus! I'd ask Sam how to become a soldier like her and how the hell she is so awesome and I'd never stop asking Helen about the centuries she lived in. She'd probably have to talk about WWI and WWII for at least a year or something and she'd be the best ressource ever for that WWII original story I still have on my hard drive (or my dad's NAS, since my laptop is still out of commission...). Oh yes, definitely Helen Magnus, over tea and biscuits (not cookies) by a blazing fire in the fire place in her library ♥

Anyway, this takes place a few days before All of my Heart, and mackenziesmomma said she had to *censored because I'd get disbetaed if I wrote this* at this, so I guess this is not exactly a happy story. Not that this is the fact with any of the Defining Moments, but I thought I'd give you a fair warning.
